A LIMU Original Review for 2021

February 23, 2021 · 2 min read · Partner.Co & the Brands · LIMU

This review was recorded in 2021. The video still answers the questions people ask most, so it stays, but read the note at the end before taking the details as current.

What LIMU Original is

A liquid seaweed drink. The main ingredient is limu moui, the brown seaweed the brand was built on in Tonga, blended with fruit juices to make it drinkable, because on its own it is not. The current blend draws on more than one source; see what happened to LIMU.

If you want the detail on the seaweed rather than the drink, that is All About Limu Moui Seaweed.

How much people drink

Partner.Co's own fact sheet puts a bottle at about 33 one-ounce servings, with 2 to 4 fl oz a day as the usual amount.

That is worth stating plainly because this site carried a different figure for a long time. An older version of our product copy said "roughly 16 servings" per bottle, which was wrong. The manufacturer's number is the one above.

What is in it

Seaweed, fruit juice and the compound brown seaweed is known for, fucoidan. We have written a full guide to fucoidan covering what the research on it actually consists of, which is less settled than most sellers of it suggest.

What has changed since 2021

Two things, and both matter more than anything in the video.

The company is now Partner.Co. In 2021 this was a LIMU product under NewAge, which had acquired ARIIX, which had acquired The LIMU Company. Those names have all consolidated. We wrote up that history in What Happened to LIMU.

Our own standard for what we will say about it has changed. This review is from before we started checking product claims against the evidence behind them. Nothing in the video asserts a health outcome, which is why it survives, but it is a sales-side video and it reads like one.
