The research behind it
The active compound here is fucoidan, a sulfated polysaccharide found in brown seaweed, and it carries an unusual amount of published attention for an ingredient sold this way.
More than 3,700 indexed papers
A search of PubMed, the US National Library of Medicine's index of biomedical literature, returned 3,734 papers referencing fucoidan when we checked on 15 September 2026. Two things to be precise about. Most are preclinical, meaning laboratory and animal work rather than human trials, which is normal for a compound at this stage. And a paper referencing a compound is not a paper endorsing it: the count includes reviews, methods work and studies that found nothing.
Why brown seaweed
Fucoidan concentration varies widely by species and by how the seaweed is processed. The LIMU line uses a 5X fucoidan concentration from Undaria pinnatifida, which is the species most of the published work is based on.
Traditional use
Seaweed has been a dietary staple in coastal Japan, Korea and Polynesia for centuries. Long dietary history is not evidence of efficacy, but it is the reason researchers started looking.
Preclinical research describes biological activity observed in a laboratory. It does not establish that a food or supplement produces a specific result in people.
Questions people actually ask
Limu Original - 5X Fucoidan, answered straight
What is fucoidan, and does it actually do anything?
Fucoidan is a compound found in brown seaweed, and it is unusually well studied for a marine nutrient: thousands of papers referencing it are indexed on PubMed, examining its role in cellular health and inflammation. That is research territory rather than a finished conclusion. A large body of study is a reason to take an ingredient seriously, not proof that a drink does something specific for you.
Is LIMU still in business?
Yes, under a different name. The LIMU brand is now part of Partner.Co, which is the company formed after ARIIX and NewAge combined. The products continued; the corporate name on them changed, which is why searches for the old names still surface confusing results.
What happened to LIMU, in fullAre there side effects?
Seaweed is naturally high in iodine, so if a doctor has ever told you to keep an eye on your iodine intake, raise this one with them before you start. As with any new supplement, some people notice mild digestive adjustment in the first few days.
How much should I take?
Just 2 to 4 fl oz daily. Each 33.8 fl oz (1 litre) bottle holds about 33 one-ounce servings. This is the serving size on Partner.Co's own fact sheet for this product, not our interpretation of it.
Compare every product's dosageWhat is actually in it?
Proprietary LIMU Seaweed Blend™ (83% per bottle): Certified organic, Fucoidan-rich reconstituted limu extract (Fucus vesiculosus & Undaria pinnatifida), Mango purée, Papaya juice concentrate, Apple juice concentrate, Pear juice concentrate, Natural flavors, and 3 more. Where an amount per serving is shown, it is taken from the product's Supplement Facts panel.
Where does this ship from, and who am I buying from?
The Perfect Nutrition is an independently owned marketplace and an authorized Partner.Co distribution partner. We are not Partner.Co and we do not manufacture anything. Products ship as the genuine, unaltered article through Partner.Co's fulfilment network.
How this relationship worksCan I return it if it does not suit me?
Most products carry a 30-day money-back guarantee, and Slenderiiz Day & Night Drops carry 45 days. Keep the original packaging and the batch number where you can, since both are needed to process a return. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility.
Full returns policyShould I check with a doctor first?
If you are pregnant or nursing, taking prescription medication, managing an existing condition, or buying for someone under 18, yes. We are a retailer. We can tell you what is in a product and what the label says, and we are not in a position to tell you it is appropriate for you.
