Ariix then rebranded itself as NewAge, continuing to distribute LIMU’s well-regarded seaweed supplements. Eventually, NewAge was acquired by Partner.co, which now oversees the distribution of LIMU products, still under the LIMU brand name that they retained.

Is The LIMU Supplement Still The Same?
I’ve been asked this at least 5 times per month for the last 4 years since The LIMU Company sold off. Over the years, LIMU Original seaweed supplement has changed quite a bit but still remains the same with it’s core components and effects.
- If you go back to the supplements first release you’d find a dark green seaweed supplement that you had to hold your nose to take. All the seaweed was harvested off the island of Tonga.
- From that time, LIMU has added organic fruit purees to the ingredients to improve the taste. The purees were mango, papaya, pear and apple.
- LIMU then dropped the papaya, which was a good call in our opinion.
- Before The LIMU Company sold off to Ariix, they came out with a new extraction method (cold-pressed) and 5x’ed the Fucoidan.
- Finally, the company diversified their seaweed sources. LIMU seaweed supplement is no longer just seaweed off of Tonga. (We personally have seen that this seaweed blend remains potently impactful.)
